ECHOLOT participates at the GOBLIN Hackathon

The GOBLIN Hackathon on Metadata and Provenance for Knowledge Graphs took place from 8 to 9 June in Oviedo, Spain. Organised by the GOBLIN COST Action at the School of Computer Science of the University of Oviedo, this two-day event brought together researchers and practitioners for a collaborative hackathon

The main theme of the hackathon was to improve the quality, context and traceability of knowledge graphs by exploring how new mechanisms such as RDF 1.2 and nested triple terms can address existing limitations in metadata modelling.  As this topic and how to represent provenance metadata following different standards is closely linked to the ECHOLOT project,  David Lindemann, from the EHU University of the Basque Country, travelled to Oviedo in representation of the project.

“We used the opportunity to think about how to model a Wikibase statement, including qualifiers and references, according to RDF1.2.”, explains David.
