ECHOLOT at Digital Heritage Summit 2026

The Digital Heritage Summit 2026 took place from 25 to 29 May in Limassol, Cyprus, bringing together world-renowned experts, institutions, and industry leaders. Organised by the UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at the Cyprus University of Technology, in partnership with Heritage Malta, the Digital Heritage Summit 2026 was this year’s special edition of EuroMed 2026, the Europe’s leading forum for digital cultural heritage research, policy, and innovation. ECHOLOT was, of course, present at the Summit.

Rony Vissers from Meemoo, Flemish Institute for Archives, a member of our consortium, represented ECHOLOT at the event in Limassol. Thanks to his presentation, summit attendees could find out how ECHOLOT will enable the creation, provision and reuse of high-quality, semantically rich, interoperable cultural data.

*The Digital Heritage Summit 2026 was organised in cooperation with Europeana, the European Commission (DG CONNECT), the AI4LAM – Artificial Intelligence for Libraries, Archives and Museums initiative, the EUreka3D Competence Center, the Digital-Europe project EUreka3D-XR, the Horizon Europe projects HERITALISE, STECCI, IMPULSE, the Time Machine Organisation, and more.
